If you are driving use maps.google.com and look up 442 Main Street, Beacon, NY. We are also easily accessible by the Metro North Railroad's Hudson Line. There are hourly trains that run between Grand Central and Beacon. Train schedules can be found at
www.MTA.info or call 800.METRO.INFO.
From the Metro North Beacon station, follow the signs from the station to Main Street (left and up a hill). Blackbird Attic is about 10-15 mins down Main Street on the left. It is definitely walkable especially if you're coming from the city and used to walking, but you can also take the blue Loop Bus or a cab.
About the Owner
Michelle Caves’ love affair with clothing began at a young age, always mixing and matching various styles, she took an interest specifically in vintage apparel from the 1960-70s. She began buying and selling clothing online through websites like eBay from her home in Rochester, N.Y. Set on pursuing her passion, Michelle moved to New York City to attend The Laboratory Institute of Merchandising, a Manhattan college that specializes in the business of fashion. From here, she obtained her bachelor’s in fashion merchandising.
In 2009, Michelle and her boyfriend decided to leave their lives in Brooklyn for a quieter setting. Once settled in Beacon, N.Y., an entrepreneurial spirit drove her to try her hand at owning a boutique. Blackbird Attic was born on the east end of Main street with a specially curated selection of affordable modern, vintage, and handmade items.
